UCSB Day 3

The day started off great with the sun being visible amidst of the usual dark clouds. And to make things even better, there was a rainbow! Open-mouthed smile Sadly, i did not have my cameras available so no photo…

Our first stop was the bike shop. I am surprised that the bike shop actually rents (sells) you the bikes actually have many road bikes. How it goes is that you will pay the full price of the bike and upon return, they will subtract the rent and refund you the money. Kinda neat huh! Got myself a hybrid (more road) and it was awesome. Santa Barbara has bike tracks which made riding a more organised way of commuting. But before we leave with our bikes, we went to UCSB for a meeting with Dr Sarah about the documents that we have to complete as issued by NIE.

After the meeting, Peggy sent us back to the bike shop and we pick up our bikes and head home. Before that, we grab lunch at Sam’s to go which made nice sandwiches like that of subway (only more meat ;P I am not complaining). Cycled our way back, microwaved our packed lunch, finished it and headed down to albersons (their supermart much like Fairprice) to get some ingredients for dinner. Got stuffs like onions, prawns (frozen, seasoned – rather interesting way to sell) and crab sticks for our pasta later.

Came back and met up with the Primary Group and prepared our dinner. Subsequently, it was a meeting about what to do for this weekend and the christmas break. There was an interval supper which featured instant noodles and then the meeting continued. Till now… We are going to Downtown Santa Barbara tomorrow. Hope there are stuffs there. Smile
